I decided to enter the WordPress, weekly photo challenge. This week, the theme ย is “Close.”
At the English, or Protestant cemetery in Rome, space is limited. By necessity friends, family, and strangers find themselves, very close to each other.

Hi Jo,
Thanks. I like cemeteries and have been to some really special ones, like this one.
Thank you for stopping by.
Great post… ๐
Thank you for stopping by…
Goodness – they are close!
I like your entry very much. I always wonder about the odd communities formed in cemeteries. I wonder if the departed would have known each other in life and how time and social strata might have kept them apart.
Good questions!
Elegantly cosy – and I wonder much the same as atreegrowsinbklyn. Death is a great leveller. Lovely pic.
Thank you! I read some of your posts and as I’m in the image business I found them very interesting.
We could have long conversations about image! Fascinating topic…
