The third Friday of every month, the Dallas Museum of Art hosts a late night. It is truly a family night with music, tours of the museum, special exhibitions, movies, lectures, arts and crafts for the kids.
Last Friday I heard the Grammy Award – winning band, Brave Combo, a lecture with New York Times bestselling author, Michael Ennis, and a new to me singer-songwriter, Sahara Smith. Her latest album, Myth of the Heart, was produced by T-Bone Burnett. Whew! What more could I ask for? All my creative needs met in one night and one location.
The next late night is Friday 15th of February 2013, and features a exhibition of works by artist, Marc Chagall. After hours music by Hunter Hendrickson.
The museum is open until midnight on late nights.
