Make copies of your important documents like your passport and any credit cards, ATM cards or any other bank cards. Leave one at home with a trusted friend or relative you contact in an emergency and, leave one in your hotel safe. Or you can make copies and store them on a portable flash drive you carry with you. In this way if your bag is stolen or heaven forbid you loose your documents or credit card you’ll have back up. Sometimes I carry the copy of my passport with me when I’m out touring around during the day and leave the real deal locked in the safe or in my room if I’m renting an apartment.
